5 Ways to Optimize Your Twitter Content

Ultimately your goal is to become a credible source of timely, relevant information for people interested in the menu of products or services you offer. A good content mix consists of relevant posts to your industry, while remaining current. Here are a few tips to optimize your Twitter messaging to be consumed, and encourage your followers to engage and share your content.

      1. Keep it Fresh
It is crucial to have consistent messaging on your brand’s social platforms. Twitter is the ‘King’ of real-time sharing, with feeds refreshing by the second. Keep your brand in real time by tweeting 2-3 times daily.

2.  Add a Dash of Humor
Share a joke or funny picture with your following. Users often retweet entertaining content to their followers. It’s a great way to spice up the industry jargon, and informational tweets.

3. Combine Tweet Components
Start with a short catchy headline, add a corresponding link or image, and then include your #hashtags at the end to increase user search ability, remembering not to spill over and staying within the 140 characters count.

4.  Stir in Retweets
Participate with other users by actively retweeting their content. Building those relationships within social sites, like Twitter, are almost as important as the content you share.

5.   Drizzle on Links
Linking Twitter to your e-mail signature and website will build your followers, encourage real time engagement and combine all ingredients into one cohesive brand.
